OUR PRIVACY POLICY
Mitchell Baldree, DDS (Southside Dental Arts, LLC) takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information our website and our text messages collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. Your health information — everything in your dental record — is protected by federal law and is described separately in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Information we collect
When you ask us to call you. Our call-back form asks for your name, your telephone number, whether you are a new or existing patient, and the best time to call. The form is sent to our office by email.
When you email or text us. We receive your email address or mobile number and whatever you write to us.
When you agree to text messages. If you choose text messaging on your patient forms or by texting our office, we keep your mobile number and your text-messaging consent so we can send the messages described in our Terms & Conditions.
When you visit the website. Like most websites, our website host, Squarespace, automatically records basic information about visits — such as the pages viewed, the type of browser and device, the website that referred you, and an approximate location — and uses cookies to make the site work and to give us visitor statistics. We use these statistics only to understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising or marketing trackers.
The patient portal and online payments. Links on our website to log in to your patient portal, complete forms, or pay a balance take you to the practice management system we use. Information you enter there is part of your patient record and is protected as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices. Our website itself does not collect payment card numbers.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to you, to schedule and remind you of appointments, to send the text messages you agreed to, to run and improve our website, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that run services for us — our website host, and our email, telephone, text-messaging, and practice management systems — under agreements that limit their use of it to providing those services, and when the law requires it.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above excludes text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We never sell, rent, or buy mobile numbers or text-messaging consent.
Keeping it safe
Standard email, text messages, and website forms are not encrypted, so please do not include health details in them. We call you back, or use your patient portal, for anything about your care. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any text to stop text messages, or change your preferences in your patient portal or at the front desk. You may ask us to delete a call-back request or stop emailing you by contacting us. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, although parts of the site may not work as well.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it. Texts about a child's care go only to the parent or guardian on file.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
